Aaron Koch joined the New York City Mayor's Office of Long-Term Planning and Sustainability as a Policy Advisor in July 2008. In this role, he seeks to implement the water quality and stormwater management initiatives in PlaNYC, the Bloomberg Administration's plan for creating a greener, greater New York. Aaron was responsible for creating the New York City Sustainable Stormwater Management Plan, which was released in December 2008.
Aaron previously served as the Director of the Mayors' Institute on City Design, a national program of the National Endowment of the Arts, United States Conference of Mayors, and American Architectural Foundation. During the summer of 2007, Aaron was a Mayoral in Fellow the Office of Chicago Mayor Richard M. Daley. He also served as the 2001-2002 National Vice President of the American Institute of Architecture Students.
Aaron graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Design with a Master of City Planning and a Certificate in Real Estate Design and Development. He received his Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities
