Judging Process

Given the large number of nominations we receive, representatives of the Partner organizations reserve the right to review nominations and select those that the jurors will review.  This gives jurors time to carefully and thoroughly consider nominations that best meet the judging criteria and select outstanding winners.

The jurors will be comprised of well-respected experts in their chosen fields, each with intimate knowledge of Philadelphia and/or sustainability issues. Past jurors include Sandy Wiggins (US Green Building Council Chair), Mike Saltzberg (Global Business Director for Dupont), Alba Martinez (President and CEO of United WAY SEPA), Tanya Seaman (Executive Director of PhillyCarShare), Sam Assefa (Director of Policy for the Department of Planning and Development in Chicago), and Rebecca Flora (Executive Director of the Green Building Alliance in Pittsburgh).

Jurors will review and evaluate the nominations based on the criteria above.
